My career began in Baltimore an advertising illustrator of fashion and hard line products, at a time when artists were used by Department Stores, to sell their products in newspapers and magazines. With the advancement of printing technology, photography replaced advertising art, I became a graphic artist and my drawing became more tourism oriented. A example is this drawing of Snowvillage Inn
I have done many pen & ink drawings for commercial properties, also color illustrations including an elaborate "Currier and Ives" style painting of Nestlenook Farm Inn in Jackson, NH ~ "A Victorian Afternoon". This pen and ink and watercolor piece is unique in that it has animals hidden in the rendering. Here are a few samples of my commercial work.
I have also done book illustration. Below are sample illustrations done in oil pastel pencil, from the children's book Clay Play - Introduction of the Art of Sculpture
